Hey Dukes fans! I’m going to be starting a contest on the blog. It’s real easy to enter and win! Here’s how it will work. I’ll post something like “As quick as” and you finish it by adding in a comment. You will have 7 days to add your comment and then I will use random.org to pick a winner. Saturday evening we went up to the stadium and checked out some of the cars there. There were several General Lee’s and Cop cars there. Most had left for the day and we saw several General Lee’s leaving while we were there.

Sunday was the day I was going to pay to get in. As I got up to the gates I asked what was inside. “Just autograph signings” they said. I didn’t need any autographs so I saved my $20.00 admission and took pictures.

Great day today! Check in wasn’t until 3:00 so we didn’t leave until 9:30 or so to go return a video game. We’re staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Kodak, TN. Let me give them a shout because our room is great and the wifi is awesome! Real quick. Went to Bass Pro shops after dinner to look around. I saw a couple of General Lee’s and Rosco’s car but not as many in past years. This one looks scaled down a bit.

Tomorrow I’m having lunch at the Islamorada Fish Company inside Bass Pro. I’m not hitting the Smoky Mountain Fan Fest until Sunday so not pics or anything until Sunday evening.

Anyway, that’s the update for day 0. Made it to Kodak, TN. Staying right across the road from the stadium for Sunday. Probably going to hit Gatlinburg tomorrow also and get some boiled peanuts (MMM MMM). Want to check me out where I’m at? I try to update my location (when I’m in public) using brightkite.com. I only need Ben Jones’ autograph on my original Dukes of Hazzard script. I’m hoping to catch him this weekend. I thought I had it but I don’t. I have met him on many occasions and I just assumed I had it. You know what you get when you assume. Yep, that.

Keep ol’ Cooter in your prayers as he is having major back surgery on February 3rd!

He has some mixed news also. He is closing his Gatlinburg store and is moving, probably to Pigeon Forge. He says to watch for sales at his store.

The best news? He has one too many General Lees and is selling one! He says it’s never been in an episode. 865-430-9909 to make serious inquiries about the General Lee.

I would post his whole newsletter here but it is an image. I don’t feel like retyping everything. Keep Ben in your prayers as he goes in for major back surgery.
