Get TNN to bring back the Dukes!

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

To: The National Network (TNN)
To all die-hard Dukes of Hazzard fans:

In case you haven’t heard, TNN (now called The National Network) has suddenly and arbitrarily removed the “Dukes of Hazzard” from their programming schedule. The Dukes is one of the remaining family-friendly shows on television, is a huge hit even in 2002, and is as much a part of popular culture as it was twenty years ago. The actors who portrayed the infamous Bo & Luke Duke, along with Daisy Duke, Enos, Cooter and Roscoe continue to participate in Dukes-related events all over the country. In the past 4 years, John Schneider (Bo Duke) and Tom Wopat (Luke Duke) participated in mini-Dukes fests in numerous cities throughout the United States, signing autographs and memorabilia for as much as 12 hours in each city!

This decision is a huge disappointment to the millions of folks who never miss the show, particularly the young people, for whom it is so important. The new wave of “Dukes of Hazzard” fans are as strong as the original fan base.

We need your help. Please sign our petition and spread the word. Once you sign this, you’ll receive an email from petitiononline.com (your name isn’t added to any mailing lists; it’s simply confirmation on your signature to the petition) containing instructions on how to spread the word about this petition to other Dukes fans you may know.

Or, you can call Barbara Zaneri, head of scheduling at TNN, at 212-258-7973 to register your strong complaint. Please ask other Dukes fans to do the same. If they hear from enough of us, they might figure out that there is a heartland called America that loves this show.

Thanks for your support!
